Cbanker: 50 Russian banks have bulk of loans to affiliated people
SOCHI, Sep 9 (PRIME) -- About 50 Russian banks consistently violate the H25 rule of loans to affiliated individuals, Lidya Troshina, a deputy director of a central bank department for banking supervision, said at a banking forum on Friday.
“What surprises me in this story with H25? It is that in some banks… more than three fourths of the portfolios is placed in favor of affiliated people. Risk concentration is enormous,” Troshina said.
She said that this rule violation was found out in small banks. “These banks are not noticeably important,” but the number of such banks is not declining, Troshina said.
